Who Let the Gods Out? is Waterstones Children's Book of the Month!
We are SUPER excited to share the wonderful news that Who Let the Gods Out? by Maz Evans is Waterstones' Children's Book of the Month! We could not be more thrilled for this wonderful book and its wonderful author - ever since Maz's story stormed into the chicken coop with a bolt of lightning, we knew it was going to be something special ...
Hilarious and heartfelt, Who Let the Gods Out? is the first book in a series about the adventures of Elliot Hooper and his merry band of Olympian Gods -– as you've never seen them before! Be prepared to laugh out loud as you meet haughty Pegasus, sassy Hermes and of course, the man you've been all been waiting for, the mighty Zeus ...
Elliot’s mum is ill and his home is under threat, but a shooting star crashes to earth and changes his life forever. The star is Virgo – a young Zodiac goddess on a mission. But the pair accidentally release Thanatos, a wicked death daemon imprisoned beneath Stonehenge, and must then turn to the old Olympian gods for help. After centuries of cushy retirement on earth, are Zeus and his crew up to the task of saving the world – and solving Elliot’s problems too?
What are you waiting for?! Read the first chapter now, follow Maz's (frankly hilarious) Twitter, and head down to your nearest Waterstones to get your hands on a copy!

I read this book with my nine year old son Nathan and it is definitely the book of 2017 for both of us. A great read for both children and parents, very funny but also touching. Already pre- ordered the next book in the series.
